NR2E3, formally Nuclear Receptor subfamily 2 group E member 3 and also called Photoreceptor-specific Nuclear Receptor (PNR), is a ligand-dependent transcription factor within the nuclear receptor superfamily. It directs retinal photoreceptor fate decisions, suppressing cone-specific gene programs while supporting rod photoreceptor differentiation during eye development. Mutations in NR2E3 underlie Enhanced S-Cone Syndrome (ESCS) and autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa, so the protein is a frequent target in retinal biology and inherited ocular-disease studies.

The Antibodies.com unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent binds the human NR2E3 sequence and cross-reacts with the mouse and rat orthologues, providing a primary detection tool for Western blot analysis of endogenous protein in retinal tissue and transfected cell models. Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody without preservative or fluorophore, allowing flexible coupling to secondary detection chemistries in laboratory workflows studying photoreceptor development, retinal degeneration mechanisms, and nuclear-receptor transcriptional regulation.
