Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets NQO1 (NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1), a cytosolic flavoenzyme that catalyzes two-electron reduction of quinones and contributes to cellular antioxidant defense and xenobiotic detoxification. Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, the unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is packaged as a 100 µl vial. Because NQO1 is induced via the Nrf2/ARE pathway under oxidative and electrophilic stress, it is frequently used as a marker of antioxidant-response activation in tumor biology, chemoprotection studies, and toxicology research. Polyclonal antibodies recognize multiple epitopes across the NQO1 homodimer, supporting robust signal in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections for IHC and in denatured lysate preparations for Western blot work. The recommended storage is refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term use, and aliquoting is advised to limit freeze-thaw cycles when the reagent is consumed across multiple experiments.
