Anti-NPM1 Antibody

Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this mouse monoclonal reagent is raised against nucleophosmin (NPM1) and is supplied as 50 µl of purified antibody in a storage buffer composed of 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol and 0.2% sodium azide, conditions under which the product should be kept for long-term stability. The unconjugated antibody was affinity-purified from mouse ascites by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, with purity assessed at greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE, and was generated using recombinant full-length human NPM1 as the immunogen. It is validated in Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC), reacting with both human and mouse samples, and is reported to detect endogenous NPM1 without cross-reacting with related proteins. SDS-PAGE analysis predicts a band at approximately 33 kDa, while the observed band migrates at about 38 kDa. NPM1 — also known by the synonyms NPM, Nucleolar phosphoprotein B23, Nucleolar protein NO38, Nucleophosmin and Numatrin — is a key nucleolar phosphoprotein involved in ribosome biogenesis, centrosome duplication and genomic stability, and the antibody is therefore suitable for studies in cell biology, haematology and cancer research.
