Anti-NPHS1 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets NPHS1, the gene encoding nephrin, a transmembrane adhesion protein of the podocyte slit diaphragm that is essential for maintaining the glomerular filtration barrier in the kidney. Produced in rabbit as an IgG reagent and supplied unconjugated at 50 µl, it is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human and mouse samples, supporting studies of podocyte injury, proteinuria, and inherited nephrotic syndromes such as congenital nephrotic syndrome of the Finnish type (CNF). Researchers focused on glomerular biology, diabetic nephropathy, and renal disease models can apply it to kidney tissue sections for localization of the slit diaphragm and to cell lysates for expression analysis of the approximately 180 kDa nephrin protein and its proteolytic fragments.
