Nephrocystin-1, the protein encoded by NPHP1 and implicated in autosomal recessive juvenile nephronophthisis and Joubert syndrome type 4, is the target of this unconjugated Rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence applications across human, mouse, and rat samples. NPHP1 localizes to primary cilia, basal bodies, and epithelial adherens junctions, where it contributes to ciliary signaling and cell-cell adhesion. Researchers studying cystic kidney disease, ciliopathy biology, retinal degeneration phenotypes tied to Joubert syndrome, and the broader nephrocystin interactome including NPHP4 and CEP290 partners can apply this reagent to renal tubular epithelium, neural tissue, and cultured cell models. Aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and store refrigerated for short-term handling or frozen at -20 degrees C for long-term stability.
