NPEPPS (puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase, PSA) is a cytosolic zinc metallopeptidase that removes N-terminal residues from peptide substrates and contributes to intracellular protein turnover through its association with the 26S proteasome. It has been studied in neuropeptide processing, cell-cycle progression, and meiotic spindle assembly in oocytes, making it a relevant target for cell biology, reproductive biology, and neuroscience workflows.

This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against NPEPPS, supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated serum, with reactivity confirmed for human samples. The polyclonal format targets several epitopes across the protein, which is useful when probing proteolytic fragments or splice variants that a single monoclonal epitope might miss. Validation covers two imaging-and-blotting methods: Western blot on standard SDS-PAGE lysates, where the antibody typically detects a band near the ~100 kDa apparent molecular weight of human NPEPPS, and immunofluorescence on fixed cells, where the unconjugated primary pairs with any fluorophore-conjugated secondary of the researcher's choice for co-localization studies with proteasomal or cytoskeletal markers.

For handling, the antibody should be stored refrigerated; small aliquots are recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve titre across long-term use. Researchers working with non-human samples should validate reactivity empirically, as the species reactivity profile listed by the supplier covers human only.
