Anti-NPAS2 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets NPAS2, also known as MOP4, a neuronal PAS domain transcription factor that serves as a core component of the mammalian circadian clock machinery. The reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant, shipped as a 100 µl vial for research use only.

NPAS2 heterodimerizes with BMAL1 and binds E-box response elements to drive rhythmic transcription of clock-controlled genes, including the Period and Cryptochrome loci. Studies with this reagent have supported investigations of suprachiasmatic nucleus function, metabolic entrainment, and BMAL1-dependent transcriptional outputs in neural and peripheral tissues.

The unconjugated antibody is validated for western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling protein-level analysis of NPAS2 expression across circadian rhythm, sleep-wake biology, and metabolic disease models.
