NADPH oxidase 4 (NOX4) is a constitutively active, membrane-bound enzyme that produces hydrogen peroxide as its main reactive oxygen species output, distinguishing it from other NOX isoforms that require cytosolic subunits for activation. This Rabbit polyclonal antiserum from Antibodies.com targets the catalytic region of NOX4 for detection in immunoblotting and tissue-staining workflows.

Supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent is ready to dilute directly into blocking or antibody dilution buffer. The glycerol formulation keeps the antibody liquid and stable at -20 degrees C, so working stocks can be kept frozen without icing. A standard western blot band migrates near 67 kDa in human, mouse, and rat lysates, consistent with the full-length NOX4 protein, and the antibody has also been validated for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections.

Its cross-species reactivity supports translational studies that compare NOX4 expression in rodent disease models with corresponding human tissue, including work on diabetic nephropathy, cardiac remodeling, pulmonary fibrosis, and tumor redox biology. Store the vial at -20 degrees C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during handling. Brief equilibration to 4 degrees C before use preserves binding activity across many experiments.
