Anti-NOS2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the inducible nitric oxide synthase (NOS2) and is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human NOS2, and the antibody has been validated to detect endogenous levels of the NOS2 protein across Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and ELISA workflows. It is unconjugated, reacts with human samples and is intended for research use only. For stability, the vial should be stored at –20 °C, where it remains suitable for up to one year. Also referred to in the literature as iNOS, hepatocyte NOS, macrophage NOS or NOS type II, NOS2 is a 130 kDa enzyme responsible for the inducible, calcium-independent production of nitric oxide from L-arginine, and this reagent is well suited to studies of inflammation, host defense and nitric oxide signalling pathways.
