Anti-NOS1 (phospho-S852) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, raised against neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS/NOS1) when phosphorylated at serine 852. Phosphorylation at this residue is catalysed by CaMKII and has been shown to reduce nNOS catalytic activity, so the reagent supports work on activity-dependent regulation of nitric oxide signalling rather than total nNOS expression.

The unconjugated IgG is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH approximately 7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and is packaged as a 100 µl vial. The antibody should be stored refrigerated; for longer-term use, aliquot and freeze, then limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from prolonged light exposure.

Recommended applications are Western blot and immunohistochemistry, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse, and rat NOS1. The reagent therefore supports comparative neuroscience studies that resolve phospho-S852 signal in brain, spinal cord, and peripheral neuronal preparations expressing nNOS.
