Supplied by Antibodies.com as a Protein A purified mouse IgG2b monoclonal at 1 mg, this unconjugated reagent specifically recognises Norovirus genogroup II (GII), the predominant cause of human acute gastroenteritis outbreaks worldwide. Norovirus GII strains are routinely characterised by their capsid protein VP1, and antibodies targeting this antigen support surveillance of viral evolution, outbreak tracing, and environmental monitoring in clinical and field specimens.

The antibody has been validated for ELISA and Western blot workflows and can serve as a capture or detection reagent in immunoassay development, or be directly labelled for immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry applications. It is provided in a vial as a liquid purified fraction suitable for direct conjugation with reporter enzymes or fluorophores.

For long-term storage, aliquot the reagent and store frozen at -20 degrees C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light to preserve binding activity. Researchers in clinical virology, food safety testing, and water quality laboratories rely on GII-specific antibodies to detect contamination in stool suspensions, shellfish, berry produce, and recreational water sources.
