Anti-NNT Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets NNT (nicotinamide nucleotide transhydrogenase), a mitochondrial inner membrane enzyme that couples proton translocation across the inner membrane to the reversible hydride transfer between NAD(H) and NADP(H), supporting mitochondrial NADPH pools and the detoxification of reactive oxygen species.

The reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl liquid aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, presented unconjugated for flexible pairing with user-selected secondary antibodies and detection systems.

It has been validated for Western blot on human and mouse samples, where NNT migrates near its predicted molecular weight of approximately 114 kDa. Researchers apply the antibody to studies of mitochondrial redox homeostasis, oxidative stress in metabolic disease models, and the contribution of NNT loss-of-function mutations to familial glucocorticoid deficiency.

For storage, keep the vial frozen at -20 °C and divide into working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, since polyclonal preparations are sensitive to repeated cycling.
