The target NM23-H1 (also called NDKA or NME1) is a nucleoside diphosphate kinase that functions as a histidine kinase and a metastasis suppressor, most famously characterized in melanoma models where its expression inversely correlates with metastatic potential. Beyond metastasis biology, the protein contributes to GDP-to-GTP conversion, microtubule regulation, and granzyme A-activated apoptosis pathways, making it relevant across oncology, cell signaling, and immunology research.
