Anti-NLRP3 Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com recognises NLRP3, a cytoplasmic pattern recognition receptor that nucleates assembly of the NLRP3 inflammasome and drives caspase-1 mediated maturation of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-18. The unconjugated antibody is supplied in a 100 µl volume and has been validated for western blot detection of the endogenous target protein as well as immunofluorescence localisation in fixed cells and tissue cryosections.

Cross-reactivity is reported with human, mouse and rat NLRP3, supporting research into sterile inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, neurodegeneration, crystal-driven disease models such as gout, and broader host-pathogen innate immune signalling where aberrant NLRP3 activation has been implicated in disease pathogenesis.

To preserve binding activity, aliquot upon arrival, store at -20°C in working volumes, and limit freeze-thaw cycles. Brief centrifugation before use recovers any aggregates that may form during prolonged storage, and the unconjugated IgG format allows flexible pairing with fluorophore- or enzyme-labelled secondary reagents for downstream detection.
