Nidogen-2 (NID2) is a ~150 kDa sulfated basement membrane glycoprotein that cross-links laminin networks with collagen IV scaffolds and other extracellular matrix components. The Antibodies.com Anti-NID2 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against this structural matrix protein, supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide (approx. pH 7.2).

This primary antibody detects NID2 from human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for western blot analysis of endogenous Nidogen-2 in cell lysates and tissue extracts. It supports research on basement membrane assembly, epithelial-stromal signaling, glomerular filtration barrier biology, tumor microenvironment remodeling, and developmental morphogenesis where Nidogen-2 expression patterns are of interest.

For best results, aliquot the 100 µl vial into single-use fractions upon arrival, store frozen at -20 degrees C, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity across multiple experiments. The 15 mM sodium azide acts as an antimicrobial preservative, and the unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with HRP, fluorescent, or biotin-labeled secondary reagents for downstream detection.
