The p75 neurotrophin receptor (NGFR p75, also called p75NTR) is a transmembrane member of the TNF receptor superfamily that binds nerve growth factor and related neurotrophins to modulate neuronal survival, Schwann cell migration, and programmed cell death. This recombinant rabbit monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as an unconjugated primary antibody in 50 µl of TBS buffer (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, ready for direct labelling or use in standard detection workflows.

Validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation, the antibody recognizes an epitope on human, mouse, and rat NGFR p75, supporting comparative studies across model systems. Researchers use it to map receptor expression in dorsal root ganglia, examine apoptosis signalling in neural crest-derived tumours, and characterise satellite glial cell populations in peripheral nerve injury models. The recombinant monoclonal format provides batch-to-batch consistency for reproducible imaging and pull-down experiments.

Aliquot upon receipt and store at the temperature indicated on the vial to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Refer to the lot-specific data sheet shipped with each vial for recommended dilution ranges in western blot, ICC/IF, IHC, and IP protocols.
