Produced by Antibodies.com as a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this unconjugated primary antibody targets Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), a neurotrophin central to the survival, differentiation, and maintenance of sympathetic and sensory neurons. It is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry, supporting neuroscience workflows that probe neuronal development, peripheral nerve injury, nociception, and the contribution of neurotrophic signaling to neurodegenerative disease models.
Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling the same reagent to be used across both rodent preclinical studies and human tissue investigations. The polyclonal format increases the chance of recognizing multiple epitopes on mature NGF as well as on its precursor proNGF form, which is useful when working with tissue lysates or fixed sections where antigen conformation varies. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a vial, and should be stored refrigerated; aliquoting upon arrival is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve long-term binding performance.
