RelA, the principal transactivating member of the NF-κB transcription factor family, governs inflammatory signaling, innate immunity, stress responses, and apoptosis. Phosphorylation of the NFkB-p65 subunit controls its nuclear translocation, DNA binding, and transactivation potential, making this protein one of the most heavily studied nodes in eukaryotic cell signaling research.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against an epitope mapping within the M270 region of human NFkB-p65 and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Each vial contains 50 µl of the antibody, ready for direct use in western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation workflows on samples from human, mouse, and rat origin.

Working concentrations should be optimized per assay; western blots are commonly run at sub-microgram per milliliter loadings, while immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections is often performed between 1 and 5 µg/ml. Aliquot on first use and store refrigerated to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles; the sodium azide present in the formulation prevents microbial contamination during repeated bench use.

This reagent is supplied for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
