Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting the NFkB-p65 subunit (also known as RelA) of the canonical NF-kappaB transcription factor complex. The reagent is raised in rabbit against a region of p65 designated the G530 epitope and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

NFkB-p65 is phosphorylated and translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus following cytokine or LPS stimulation, where it drives transcription of inflammatory, immune, and anti-apoptotic target genes. Unconjugated primary reagents such as this one allow researchers to monitor endogenous p65 abundance in lysates by WB and to localize p65 expression in fixed tissue sections by IHC, with flexibility to pair the antibody with user-selected secondary detection reagents and chromogens.

The antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, in a 50 µl vial. Sodium azide acts as a preservative; the polyclonal preparation recognizes multiple epitopes across p65, which is useful when tracking expression across different activation states or post-translational modification patterns of the protein.
