NFE2L1 (Nuclear Factor, Erythroid 2-Like 1), also referred to as Nrf1, is a CNC-bZIP transcription factor that activates antioxidant response element (ARE)-driven genes and governs proteasome subunit expression, lipid handling, and mitochondrial quality control.
