This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets NFATC3 (Nuclear Factor of Activated T Cells 3), a calcium/calcineurin-responsive transcription factor of the NFAT family that drives inducible cytokine gene expression, T-lymphocyte activation programs, and embryonic cardiac valve morphogenesis. By recognizing multiple epitopes across the target protein, the polyclonal antibody offers broader detection coverage than monoclonal alternatives and is particularly useful when probing endogenous expression patterns in primary cells and tissue sections.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated stock in a vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications on human and mouse samples. NFATC3 normally resides in the cytoplasm in a phosphorylated state and translocates to the nucleus following calcineurin-mediated dephosphorylation, where it cooperates with AP-1 to engage target promoters; this regulated shuttling is frequently captured by IF imaging of treated versus resting cells, while WB readouts provide complementary quantitation of total protein levels across stimulation time courses. The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to conjugate the antibody to fluorophores, biotin, or HRP depending on the experimental readout.

For best results, store the vial refrigerated at 4°C, protect from light, aliquot upon first thaw to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and avoid prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. Centrifuge briefly before opening and handle on ice when preparing working dilutions. Intended for research use only.
