Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Nephrocystin-1 (NPHP1), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated, azide-stabilized reagent for research use. The target is a ciliary and basal-body protein encoded by the NPHP1 gene, the most frequently mutated locus in juvenile nephronophthisis, an autosomal recessive cystic kidney disorder that can also present with retinal degeneration in Senior-Løken syndrome. The antibody is validated for Western blot and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of ciliopathy mechanisms, tubular epithelial polarity, and centrosome/transition-zone biology.

Each vial contains 50 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. Short-term storage at 4 °C is acceptable; for longer intervals, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw damage to the IgG fraction. The polyclonal, rabbit-host format yields a pooled response against multiple epitopes of Nephrocystin-1, useful when probing denatured lysates from renal epithelial cells, retinal tissue, or ciliated model systems such as IMCD3 and MDCK lines.
