Anti-NEK6 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets NEK6 (NIMA-related kinase 6), a serine/threonine kinase that drives mitotic progression through the G2/M phase transition and supports cytokinesis. Raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation, the reagent is supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated antibody validated for western blot in human, mouse, and rat samples.

NEK6 is activated by NEK9 through phosphorylation and contributes to mitotic spindle assembly and faithful chromosome segregation. It also phosphorylates STAT3 on Ser727, linking mitotic kinase signaling to transcription factor control. Elevated NEK6 expression has been reported in several proliferative cancer cell lines, making it a target of interest for cell cycle, DNA damage response, and oncogenic signaling research.

For western blot, apply the antibody to whole-cell lysates prepared in standard RIPA buffer, resolve by SDS-PAGE, and detect with HRP-conjugated secondary reagents at a dilution appropriate to band intensity. Store aliquots at -20 °C, protect from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve reagent activity over multiple experiments.
