Anti-NEK5 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the human NEK5 kinase, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody targets a serine/threonine kinase of the NIMA-related family that participates in mitotic checkpoint control, centrosome maturation, and cellular responses to DNA damage. NEK5 has been characterized in studies of pressure-overload cardiac remodeling and skeletal muscle atrophy pathways, where altered expression accompanies hypertrophic and atrophic stress in cardiomyocytes and myotubes.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples, the reagent supports detection of endogenous NEK5 in cultured mammalian cell lines and in fixed tissue sections. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid stock; for best results, aliquot on receipt and store at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Working dilutions should be titrated against the specific lysate, fixation protocol, or cell preparation in use.
