NDUFV1 (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase core subunit V1) is the approximately 51 kDa flavoprotein catalytic subunit of mitochondrial Complex I, anchoring FMN and participating in electron transfer from NADH to ubiquinone within the oxidative phosphorylation chain on the inner mitochondrial membrane. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against NDUFV1 and is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human and mouse samples. The 200 µl volume is supplied as an affinity-purified reagent suitable for probing enriched mitochondrial fractions, isolated OXPHOS complexes, Blue-Native PAGE-resolved respiratory chain assemblies, and whole-cell lysates from oxidative-demand tissues such as skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, and neural tissue. Recessive loss-of-function mutations in NDUFV1 cause Leigh syndrome, mitochondrial encephalomyopathy with complex I deficiency, and have been linked to broader neurodegeneration research, making this reagent relevant for studies of Complex I biogenesis, oxidative phosphorylation deficiency, and mitochondrial disease models. Store refrigerated at 4 °C and divide into single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody titre across repeated probing experiments.
