This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets NDUFB1, an accessory subunit of mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (Complex I) encoded on chromosome 14q32. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at a working pH near 7.3, and is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples.

NDUFB1 contributes to the assembly and stability of Complex I within the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it participates in electron transfer from NADH to ubiquinone during oxidative phosphorylation. Western blot analysis typically resolves a band near 7 kDa, consistent with the predicted molecular weight of the mature subunit. Researchers studying mitochondrial respiratory chain disorders, neurodegeneration linked to Complex I deficiency, and metabolic disease models use this reagent to probe expression changes in cultured cells and tissue lysates.

For Western blot, dilute the stock to a working concentration suitable for your system; aliquot upon first use and store refrigerated to preserve activity, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the stock solution.
