NDUFA8 is a 19 kDa accessory subunit of mitochondrial respiratory Complex I (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase, EC 1.6.5.3), anchored in the inner mitochondrial membrane where it contributes to assembly and stability of the peripheral arm that transfers electrons from NADH to ubiquinone during oxidative phosphorylation. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the human NDUFA8 sequence and is qualified for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl in a single vial, suitable for probing NDUFA8 steady-state levels in cell-line lysates, primary cultures, and tissue homogenates used in mitochondrial bioenergetics and Complex I assembly studies. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, which is useful when tracking conserved regions across the reactive species in oxidative phosphorylation research, including investigations of Complex I deficiencies such as Leigh syndrome and related mitochondrial disorders.

For long-term stability, store the antibody frozen at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and keep chilled on ice during use. The unconjugated IgG isotype pairs with standard anti-rabbit HRP or fluorescent secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescence-based Western blot readout on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes.
