Raised in rabbit and purified by antigen affinity chromatography, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the mitochondrial complex I subunit NDUFA5 (NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] 1 alpha subcomplex subunit 5) and is intended for research use only. The immunogen is a full-length fusion protein, and the antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of total NDUFA5 protein in human samples, making it well-suited to studies of oxidative phosphorylation and mitochondrial biology. The product is supplied at 2.8 mg/mL in a 100 µL volume, formulated in PBS at pH 7.3 with 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. For shipping, vials are maintained at 4 °C during transit; upon receipt the antibody should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Validated applications are Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and recommended secondary antibodies include goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L conjugates available from the same supplier in AP, biotin, FITC, and HRP formats. Because the host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, the reagent is compatible with standard rabbit-IgG detection systems, while its unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to couple it to their preferred label or bead. Routine QC and the consistency of lot-to-lot performance are supported by antigen-affinity purification, and the reagent is dispatched from St. Louis, MO with a typical lead time of 6–9 business days. Researchers working on complex I assembly, mitochondrial electron transport chain disorders, or metabolic disease models will find this reagent a reliable tool for probing NDUFA5 expression across human tissues and cell lines.
