NDUFA13, also referred to as GRIM-19 (Gene Associated with Retinoid-IFN-Induced Mortality 19), is a small accessory subunit of mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I), the first enzyme of the respiratory electron transport chain. This unconjugated Rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against NDUFA13 and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The 100 µl format supplies ample volume for multiple membranes and tissue sections in studies of mitochondrial bioenergetics, complex I assembly, and GRIM-19-linked apoptosis and tumor suppressor signaling.

Because NDUFA13 is a roughly 16 kDa mitochondrially-localized protein, the antibody is well suited to probing complex I subunit integrity in whole-cell or mitochondrial lysates and in fixed tissue sections. Typical uses include assessing loss or redistribution of complex I subunits in cancer models, monitoring mitochondrial damage in neurodegeneration and ischemia-reperfusion studies, and confirming overexpression or knockdown in transfected cell lines. Polyclonal reactivity broadens epitope coverage, which can be useful when post-translational modifications or mutations are a concern.

Supplied in a 100 µl vial without reporter dyes or enzyme tags, the reagent gives researchers flexibility to pair it with their preferred secondary antibody and detection chemistry. Host species is Rabbit, compatible with the anti-rabbit secondaries standard in most WB and IHC workflows. The unconjugated format also makes it suitable for custom labeling or for downstream applications such as immunoprecipitation when paired with a suitable capture system.
