Anti-NDUFA1 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting NDUFA1, supplied by Antibodies.com within its Primary Antibodies range. NDUFA1 is an accessory subunit of mitochondrial Complex I (NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase), and the unconjugated antibody is raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in the human protein. Following affinity purification, purity is reported as greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE.

Validated for Western blot (WB) applications, the reagent reacts with human, mouse and rat samples and detects endogenous levels of NDUFA1 protein. The target migrates at approximately 8 kDa. The product is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at an approximate pH of 7.3.

NDUFA1 functions as a single-pass membrane protein localising to the matrix side of the mitochondrial inner membrane, where it supports the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain, a process essential for cellular respiration. The protein is expressed predominantly in skeletal muscle and heart.
