Anti-NDP Antibody

Affinity-purified polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit against human norrin (NDP), supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a vial ready for direct dilution into standard assay buffers. NDP encodes a secreted cystine-knot ligand that selectively activates the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway through the FZD4–LRP5/6 receptor complex, driving retinal vascular development and inner ear morphogenesis. Loss-of-function variants in NDP are the molecular basis of Norrie disease, and are also implicated in familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) and Coats disease, which is why well-characterized detection reagents are useful for ophthalmology and developmental biology research programs. This primary antibody is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, making it appropriate for confirming norrin expression in cell lysates, characterizing Wnt-pathway readouts in vitro, and localizing the protein in fixed tissue sections.
