Anti-NCF4 Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets neutrophil cytosolic factor 4 (NCF4, also called p40-phox), the cytosolic organizer subunit of the phagocytic NADPH oxidase complex that drives superoxide generation during the respiratory burst. Supplied as 100 µl of antiserum, it is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry workflows and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples.

NCF4 sits at the interface of innate immunity and redox biology. It is studied in the context of chronic granulomatous disease, where loss-of-function mutations disrupt assembly of the active oxidase, and it is widely used as a marker for neutrophil and eosinophil activation in infection, autoimmune, and inflammatory models. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, which is useful when monitoring processing events or comparing primary phagocytes with engineered lines.

In standard laboratory use the antibody is applied to cleared lysates for western blot, fixed tissue sections for immunohistochemistry, and permeabilized leukocytes for intracellular flow cytometry staining.
