Raised in rabbit against Neutrophil Cytosolic Factor 2 (p67phox), the cytosolic organizer subunit of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase complex, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum. The reagent is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

NCF2 sits at the regulatory core of the superoxide-generating machinery that drives the neutrophil respiratory burst, and biallelic loss-of-function variants in the gene are a recognized cause of autosomal recessive chronic granulomatous disease. Researchers studying innate immunity, oxidative burst signaling, and neutrophil biology use this antibody to probe p67phox expression, recruitment to the phagosomal membrane, and interactions with the other NADPH oxidase subunits, such as p40phox, p47phox, and gp91phox.

The polyclonal format gives multi-epitope recognition of the target, which helps when detecting full-length p67phox as well as truncated isoforms produced from alternative transcripts. The unconjugated format allows the antibody to be paired with the detection label of choice, including HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries, and it remains compatible with standard Tris-buffered and phosphate-buffered protocols for Western blot, antigen retrieval-based IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, and immunoprecipitation from cell lysates.

For handling, the supplier recommends aliquoting the antiserum upon receipt to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protecting any working dilutions from light until use. The reactivity profile established for this reagent covers human, mouse, and rat tissue and cell-derived samples.
