Anti-NCAPG Antibody

The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against NCAPG (Non-SMC Condensin I Complex Subunit G), a regulatory subunit of condensin I that drives mitotic chromosome condensation and proper sister chromatid resolution. Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG in a single-use vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot detection of the human target protein in whole-cell lysates, producing a specific band at approximately 114 kDa that matches the predicted molecular weight of full-length NCAPG.

NCAPG transcription peaks during G2/M and is markedly upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma, glioma, breast carcinoma, and cutaneous melanoma, where elevated expression has been linked to tumor proliferation, genomic instability, and poor clinical prognosis. In cell culture models, researchers use this reagent to monitor mitotic indices after small-molecule or genetic perturbation, validate siRNA and CRISPR knockdowns, and compare NCAPG levels between transformed and matched normal tissue. The unconjugated format permits flexible secondary labeling with HRP, fluorescent, or biotin reporters depending on experimental design.
