Anti-NCAM1 Antibody

Antibodies.com offers this rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against NCAM1, produced in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation. It is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and has been shown to react with human, mouse and rat samples. Three scientific validation images accompany the product.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 759–858 of human NCAM1/CD56 (NP_851996.2), and the reagent is prepared by affinity purification. The antibody recognises the target at reported molecular weights of 120 kDa, 140 kDa and 180 kDa. It is provided as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.3, containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

Recommended starting dilutions are WB: 1:500–1:1,000, IHC: 1:50–1:200 and ICC/IF: 1:50–1:100. Representative data shown include a Western blot of mouse brain lysate at 25 µg per lane, developed with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L HRP secondary at 1:10,000 in 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST, together with IHC staining of paraffin-embedded rat and mouse brain at 1:100 following microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0.
