N-acetyltransferase 1 (NAT1) is a cytosolic phase II enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of acetyl groups from acetyl-CoA to aromatic amines and hydrazines. The Antibodies.com Anti-NAT-1 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against this target for use in western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples.

NAT1 contributes to the biotransformation of arylamine procarcinogens, certain prescription drugs, and environmental toxins, and inherited variation in the NAT1 gene has been studied as a modifier of individual susceptibility to bladder, breast, and colorectal cancers. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal serum and supports detection of endogenous NAT1 expression across tissues such as liver, bladder epithelium, breast, and intestinal mucosa. For long-term stability, aliquot upon arrival and store frozen; repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve binding activity. The reagent is validated for reactivity with human NAT1 and is intended for research use only in studies of xenobiotic metabolism, pharmacogenetics, and tumor biology.
