Anti-NASP Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against NASP, the Nuclear Autoantigenic Sperm Protein that acts as a histone H1 chaperone and participates in replication-coupled nucleosome assembly in dividing cells. The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and is unconjugated for flexible reporter choice. It has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of NASP expression in proliferating tissues, embryonic development, and cancer models such as prostate and ovarian carcinoma where NASP levels are frequently elevated. The polyclonal format allows detection of both the somatic (NASP-S) and testis-specific (NASP-T) isoforms generated from the same NASP gene by alternative transcript usage, which is useful when distinguishing tissue- or stage-specific expression patterns across the three validated species.
