Anti-NANS Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets N-acetylneuraminic acid synthase (NANS), the cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the final committed step in the de novo biosynthesis of N-acetylneuraminic acid (sialic acid). Sialic acid residues cap the terminal positions of glycoproteins and glycolipids, and altered sialylation has been linked to cancer progression, inflammatory responses, and developmental disorders, making robust detection of the endogenous enzyme valuable for basic and translational research programs.

The antibody is provided as 100 µL of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples.
