Na+/K+-ATPase α1, the catalytic α-subunit of the ubiquitous Na+/K+-ATPase pump, is modulated by phosphorylation at serine 16, a regulatory site linked to cardiac contractility, renal sodium reabsorption, and neuronal excitability. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified against the phospho-Ser16 epitope, this Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent allows researchers to distinguish phosphorylated α1 from the total pool in cell signalling studies.
The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat tissues. Store refrigerated at 4°C for short-term use; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to retain phospho-specific reactivity.
