MYPT1 (Myosin Phosphatase Target Subunit 1, also known as PPP1R12A) regulates myosin light-chain phosphatase activity and contributes to smooth muscle contraction, cytoskeletal remodeling, and Rho-kinase signaling. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide, and packaged as a 100 µl vial. Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry, the antibody shows reactivity across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies in cardiovascular and vascular biology research. The immunogen corresponds to the region surrounding residue R690, a commonly cited regulatory site used to monitor phosphorylation-dependent changes in phosphatase activity. Store refrigerated, aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light. Intended for research use only; not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
