MYOZ1 (Myozenin 1) encodes a sarcomeric protein that interacts with calcineurin in skeletal muscle, where it contributes to Z-disc assembly and myofibril organization. Antibodies.com provides this rabbit polyclonal reagent as an unconjugated primary antibody for laboratories investigating striated muscle biology and associated disease mechanisms.

The antibody was raised against MYOZ1 and validated for detection of human and mouse targets, supporting cross-species studies of cardiac and skeletal muscle. It is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and is recommended for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, where it can be applied to protein lysates from cultured myocytes, tissue homogenates, or fixed sections prepared from biopsy material.

Researchers working on cardiomyocyte differentiation, sarcomeric integrity, or skeletal muscle pathology use MYOZ1 detection to probe signaling through the calcineurin–NFAT pathway and to characterize fast-twitch fiber composition. The polyclonal format provides epitope diversity, which is helpful when probing denatured targets on membranes as well as fixed epitopes in paraffin-embedded sections.

For storage and handling, the reagent should be kept refrigerated for short-term use; long-term stability is best preserved by aliquoting and freezing at -20°C, with freeze-thaw cycles limited to protect binding activity and reagent performance.
