Raise this rabbit polyclonal IgG against the sarcomeric Z-disc protein myozenin 1 (MYOZ1), also termed calsarcin-2 or FATZ, to detect endogenous total MYOZ1 in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. MYOZ1 expression is largely restricted to adult fast-twitch myofibers, where the protein tethers calcineurin signaling at the Z-disc and contributes to sarcomere assembly and myofibrillogenesis. Published applications include characterization of fast-twitch fiber composition in exercise, disuse, and Myoz1 knockout models, profiling of sarcomeric protein–protein interactions at the Z-disc, and investigation of genetic variants linked to skeletal muscle phenotypes.
