MTMR2 (myotubularin-related protein 2) is a lipid phosphatase that dephosphorylates phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate, supporting endosomal sorting and membrane trafficking in peripheral neurons. Loss-of-function mutations in MTMR2 cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4B1, an autosomal recessive demyelinating neuropathy, so reliable detection of this phosphatase is useful in neuromuscular and neurobiology research aimed at understanding hereditary neuropathies and phosphoinositide signaling.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against myotubularin related protein 2 and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, it offers a sensitive reagent for laboratories studying endosomal lipid metabolism, autophagy regulation, and the cellular pathology of demyelinating disease.
