The target protein myotilin (encoded by the MYOT gene, also referenced as TTID in some literature) is a component of the Z-discs in striated muscle sarcomeres, where it contributes to actin cross-linking and structural stability. Researchers studying myofibrillar myopathy and limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 1A rely on affinity reagents raised against this sarcomere-associated protein to map its distribution in skeletal and cardiac tissue.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against MYOT and validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. It is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot that can be diluted according to the chosen protocol, and the polyclonal format increases the chance of recognising several epitopes across full-length myotilin. That breadth is useful when probing truncated variants or mutant isoforms reported in dystrophy patients, and the unconjugated format leaves open the choice of secondary label for fluorescence or chromogenic detection.
