MyoD (Myogenic Differentiation 1) is a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor that drives commitment to the skeletal muscle lineage during embryonic myogenesis and adult muscle regeneration. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the endogenous MyoD protein and is supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl volume, ready to integrate into standard western blot protocols in research use only workflows.

The reagent binds MyoD in lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat cells and tissues, supporting studies of satellite cell activation, injury-induced muscle repair, and the transcriptional cascade controlling striated muscle differentiation. MyoD expression also serves as a molecular marker in rhabdomyosarcoma cell models and in trans-differentiation experiments that track conversion of non-muscle cell types toward a myogenic fate. Because the antibody is polyclonal, it recognises multiple epitopes on the target protein, which is particularly useful when probing denatured samples on western blot membranes where linear epitopes are exposed.

Host species is rabbit, clonality is polyclonal, and the conjugate is unconjugated, giving users flexibility to pair it with their preferred HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-labelled secondary reagents. The antibody is supplied in liquid format inside a single-use vial; aliquot on arrival and refrigerate to preserve activity across the product shelf life.
