Myocilin (MYOC) is the glaucoma-associated protein whose mutations underlie primary open-angle glaucoma, and this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com supports detection of the target in trabecular meshwork biology, aqueous humour outflow, and MYOC mutation-screening workflows. The antibody is raised in Rabbit, prepared as a polyclonal reagent, and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Each vial contains 100 µl of liquid, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry against human, mouse, and rat samples. Endogenous myocilin expression can be visualised in fixed tissue sections and whole-cell lysates, enabling translational comparisons between ocular and non-ocular tissues. For best results, store refrigerated, protect from light, and aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles across the product's shelf life.
