Anti-MYL12A (phospho S18) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent raised against a synthetic phospho-peptide spanning the Ser18 site of human myosin regulatory light chain 12A (gene MYL12A; also called MLCB, MRCL3, MRLC3, MYL2B), this primary antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated serum purified by antigen affinity chromatography. It selectively detects the phosphorylated Ser18 epitope (corresponding to Ser20 in mouse and Ser19 in rat) on the 18–19 kDa regulatory light chain, a downstream substrate of Rho-kinase and myosin light chain kinase that couples cytoskeletal remodeling to actomyosin assembly, smooth muscle contraction, cytokinesis, and cell migration. Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat specimens, it integrates with standard HRP- or fluorophore-tagged secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or chromogenic readouts in both cultured cells and tissue sections. For continuous use, store at -20°C and aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles; short-term bench use can be refrigerated.
