Anti-MYH8 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets myosin heavy chain 8 (MYH8), a class II myosin expressed in skeletal muscle during embryonic and fetal development and in selected fiber types in adult tissue. Produced in rabbit, the reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, pH approximately 7.3.

Validated for western blot detection of human MYH8, the antibody supports studies of myogenesis, skeletal muscle fiber-type specification, and the molecular basis of MYH8-associated myopathies, including trismus-pseudocamptodactyly syndrome. Store at 4°C for short-term use; for longer-term storage, aliquot and keep frozen at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve reagent activity.
