The Antibodies.com Anti-Myc Tag Antibody (HRP) is a murine monoclonal IgG1 reagent conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) for direct chemiluminescent detection of the c-Myc epitope tag (EQKLISEEDL) on recombinant fusion proteins. Supplied as 100 µg of liquid in a single vial, this antibody enables one-step probing in western blot workflows without the need for a secondary antibody, reducing background and shortening protocol time. Researchers commonly use it to confirm expression of Myc-tagged constructs at their predicted molecular weight, verify proper translation of N- or C-terminal fusion proteins, and compare expression levels across transfected samples. The HRP reporter also supports sensitive detection of low-abundance targets when paired with enhanced chemiluminescence (ECL) substrates. For best results, store aliquots frozen at -20°C, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to preserve enzymatic activity of the peroxidase conjugate.
