Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Major Vault Protein (MVP), supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl liquid aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Major Vault Protein is the principal structural component of vault ribonucleoprotein particles and is widely investigated under the earlier name Lung Resistance-Related Protein in studies of multidrug resistance in cancer cells. Researchers apply this antibody to examine MVP expression in tumor tissue sections and to detect the protein in cell lysates, supporting work on chemotherapy response, drug efflux mechanisms, and the cellular role of vault particles in nucleocytoplasmic transport and innate immune signaling pathways. The cross-reactivity profile across human, mouse, and rat species allows the same reagent to be used in comparative oncology studies and in animal models of drug resistance.

Aliquot upon receipt and store refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C to preserve antibody activity; repeated freeze-thaw of the glycerol-containing solution should be avoided. Provided as a single-use vial for research use only.
